WEAVECHAIN PRIVACY POLICY

Last modified: 2022-01-03 (History)

1. Welcome

1.1 Weavechain is a distributed network that allows users to make data available for secure access and analysis by others, and for users and recipients of that data to verify its integrity and authenticity (the "Weavechain Platform").

1.2 This privacy policy sets out how we collect, store, transfer, share and use information (“personal information") that identifies or is associated with individuals who use the Weavechain Platform.

1.3 Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you have any questions about this privacy policy or how we use your personal information, please contact us using the contact details set out in paragraph 5 below.

2. About us

2.1 Mana Hours, Inc. dba Weavechain ("Weavechain", "we", "us" or "our") is the provider of the Weavechain Platform and the Website. If you would like to contact us, please email us at legal@weavechain.com.

2.2 We determine and are responsible for how your personal information is used as described in this privacy policy.

2.3 If you use the Weavechain Platform on behalf of an organisation, we may also process personal information contained in the descriptions of the data that are made available for use through the Weavechain Platform solely on the instructions of the organisation that created that listing. This privacy policy does not apply to our use of this personal information. If your personal information has been shared by an organisation in this way, please consult their privacy policy for more information about how your personal information is used.

3. Information we collect through the Weavechain Platform and how we use it

3.1 The Weavechain Platform facilitates data access and exchange between "Data Providers", who make data available through the Weavechain Platform, and "Data Consumers", who are given access to or a right to run analysis on data supplied by data providers.

3.2 Data Providers advertise a description of the data they have available (the "Shared Data") on the Weavechain Platform, then give Data Consumers direct access to the server where the Shared Data is stored. Data Providers can choose whether to give Data Consumers the right to read or copy the Shared Data, or run programs to analyse that Shared Data without seeing it.

3.3 Weavechain does not have access to raw Shared Data. Data Providers use software provided by Weavechain to create a hash of the Shared Data and upload it to a blockchain to allow users to verify whether the Shared Data has been modified in any way. Although anybody can see the hash of the Shared Data if it’s uploaded to a Public Blockchain, the hash cannot be reversed to read the underlying Shared Data.

3.4 We do, however, collect the following information which will be "personal information" to the extent it relates to you as an individual rather than an organisation that uses the Weavechain Platform:

(a) Account information.

When you set up an account on the Weavechain Platform, we will collect the details associated with that account, including your IP address as well as your Name and Email if provided.

(b) Blockchain identifier.

If you are a Data Provider, we will collect the public-private key pair that identifies you on the Weavechain blockchain and any other blockchain network you elect to use with the Weavechain Platform.

(c) Crypto payment information.

All payments on the Weavechain Platform are made in USDC, which is a stablecoin pegged to the US Dollar. If you are a Data Provider, we will collect the blockchain address of your crypto wallet.

(d) Listing information.

If you are a Data Provider, we collect the information you publish on the Weavechain Platform about the Shared Data that you are making available, including whether the Shared Data is available for download or analysis only, and the prices that you charge for use of that Shared Data.

(e) Transactions.

We will collect information about transactions facilitated by the Weavechain Platform between Data Providers and Data Consumers, such as whether a Data Provider has agreed to give access to Shared Data to a Data Consumer, and how much of the Shared Data the Data Consumer has used, or how long they have used it for.

3.5 We use the above information in the following ways:

  1. to authenticate users;
  2. to respond to support requests and enquiries regarding the Weavechain Platform;
  3. to process payments made to Data Providers;
  4. to calculate and deduct our fees.

4. How we collect your Personal Information

4.1 Most of the personal information we collect is provided to us directly by you, such as when you communicate with us or post information to the Weavechain Platform.

4.2 Certain information, such as information about the transactions you enter into on the Weavechain Platform, is collected or generated by us automatically.

5. How we share your personal information

5.1 We may share your personal information as follows:

(a) Service providers and advisors:

We may share your personal information with third party vendors and other service providers that perform services for us or on our behalf, which may include mailing, email or chat services, payment processing, marketing services, fraud prevention, web hosting, providing professional services, such as legal and accounting services, or providing analytic services.

(b) Business Transaction or Reorganisation:

We may take part in or be involved with a corporate business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, joint venture, or financing or sale of company assets. We may disclose personal information to a third party during negotiation of, in connection with or as an asset in such a corporate business transaction. Personal information may also be disclosed in the event of insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership.

We may disclose personal information to third parties, such as legal advisors and law enforcement:

  1. in connection with the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims;
  2. to comply with laws or to respond to lawful requests and legal process;
  3. to protect the rights and property of us, our agents, customers, and others, including to enforce our agreements, policies, and terms of use;

  5. to reduce credit risk and collect debts owed to us;
  6. to protect the health and safety of us, our customers, or any person; or

We may disclose personal information about you to certain other third parties with your consent.

6. OUR Policy Towards CHILDREN

Our Service is not directed at persons under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from or about children. If you become aware that we have collected information about your child without your consent, then please contact us using the details below so that we can take steps to remove such information.
